Ellistown Youth also netted three points with a 3 - 1 win over Fleckney Athletic with Joe Coleman, Jonathan Edgar and Michael Martin all netting.

Loughborough Dynamo took no prisoners in the 8 - 0 demolition of Wigston Youth The home side were ahead inside three minutes when Josh Buchanan found space after some great build up play to beat the visiting keeper from 12 yards. It wasn't long before Buchanan grabbed number two when after 12 minutes skipper Grant Ryder played a searching ball from the back that the in form striker latched onto to nod past the onrushing Wigston keeper for his 6th goal in three games. Wigston never looked like troubling the home defence who comfortably dealt with the rare attacks that the visitors mounted. The first period was only 20 minutes old when Buchanan claimed his first hat trick of the season with a speculative effort from the right wing that the Wigston keeper should have dealt with but the ball squirmed through his hands and dropped into the net. Buchanan's strike partner Alan Lee was a handful for the visitors, twisting and turning and frustrating them at every opportunity and it wasn't long before he got himself on the score sheet with the fourth to demoralise the Leicester side and end any hopes they might have had for a comeback. Dynamo's midfield were in complete control of the game with Callum McCallion, Danny Hulett and Patrick Hardy snuffing out the Wigston central players and spreading the ball to both flanks with ease where Karl Whymark and Asif Uddin were patrolling and getting the supply to the front two. Lee's second came on the half hour mark with a move typical of the player - shrugging off his marker and finishing with accuracy. Five minutes later it was six when Dynamo broke from a bout of rare defensive duty and fed Lee just inside his own half who broke free and knocked the ball between his two markers and his blistering pace left them trailing as he darted clear to round the advancing Wigston keeper and slot the ball into an empty net to cap a superb return to form and his first hat trick of the season. A minute before the break it was seven when Whymark attacked the Wigston rearguard from the left wing to finish with a clinical shot that gave the keeper no chance at his near post. Dynamo looked a completely different side when they came out for the second half, obviously considering the job was done. But full marks to the visitors, they kept their heads up and took the game to Dynamo and enjoyed a good spell of pressure for the first ten minutes of the second half without really troubling David Walker in Dynamo's goal. Dynamo never seemed in danger of conceding but reverted to individualism, with too many of the team trying to get on the score sheet and the shots were raining in on the Wigston keeper from all sorts of distances and angles. The eighth came midway through the half when a pinpoint Whymark corner found Ryder in acres of space at the far post who made no mistake with a powerful header that gave the keeper no chance. Wigston had the chance of a consolation goal with ten minutes remaining when Walker received a back pass and played the ball straight to a Wigston striker who carried the ball into Dynamo's area and with time and space shot to Walkers left, but the almost redundant keeper atoned for his mistake with a fine save to preserve his clean sheet. Credit the Wigston players for never giving up and giving it a good go in the second half but Dynamo take the points and do their goal difference the power of good with an outstanding first half display of quick, controlled, passing football.

DIVISION TWO

With a three way split at the top of the division it's all to play for with Burbage Old Boys leading the way even though they lost for the first time against Caterpillar S & S Sean Astill's goal was not enough As Caterpillar responded with two strikes Caterpillar turned in an impressive team performance on a glorious sunny afternoon to end Burbage Old Boy's unbeaten run, which had stretched since the start of last season. This long awaited derby match provided end to end action during the first half, with both goalkeepers making fine saves to keep the game goalless at the interval. This lifted the home side and the majority of the remainder of the half was played in the visitors half. The second half started in the same vein with Kegworth pushing Ibstock back. The goals flowed freely for The Imps, with Bowles completing a hat trick in quick time. Strike partner Ryan Salmon soon joined in the goal rush and Kegworth were cruising. One more goal apiece for Bowles and Salmon completed the scoring with the home side running out deserving six, nil winners. Barrow Town lost at home against Whetstone Juniors. Barrow could not clear their area and were caught cold with a goal from Micky Clancoates before a minute had gone. Barrow brought themselves back into the game and a good game unfolded especially when Tom Carr equalised latching on to a long clearance to slot the ball into the bottom left corner. After half time Whestone took the advantage again when Karl Smith reacted first after a long shot/cross was parried by the keeper. Very soon after Trevor Mapfine (2) finished off a quick passing move normally seen in training sessions with a neat side foot. Barrow picked themselves up again and they controlled the last 15 minutes. A deep cross found the head of Lewis Fraser hitting the post with Carr first to the ball to roll the ball into an empty net.
